They all approve. They approve.

Things are very mysterious with Lori's upcoming book, Gates of Thread and Stone. It doesn't have a cover yet and the synopsis is going to make me faint with longing. Why, oh why, does Lori have to do this to us?

Title: Gates of Thread and Stone
Author: Lori M. Lee
Shelves: Young Adult, Fantasy, Science Fiction
Publication Date: August 5th, 2014
Publisher: Skyscape

Goodreads|

Summary from Goodreads: A teenage girl must keep her ability to manipulate the threads of time a secret, but when her brother goes missing, she risks getting caught up in a revolution in order to save him.

What would Lori do?

What would you do if Hogwarts was real but you couldn't attend because you were a muggle?

Cry. Or locate a witch friend through whom I could experience Hogwarts vicariously haha.If Hogwarts was real, then that would imply that all the creatures within the Harry Potter world were real. Part of what draws us to magic is that it’s not a tangible thing. It can’t be measured or quantified or bottled—it exists in that flicker at the corner of your eye, in the dying of the leaves, and the secrets they whisper against your feet when your walk past.

So of course I’d be awed and thrilled if Hogwarts was real, and given the choice, I would probably want it to be true. But I’m glad that we don’t get that choice :)

  8. I agree that I would have to find a friend who could go to Hogwarts. But I would probably cry first too. But I really liked the thoughtfulness of the second part of your answer. And it made me think about whether it would be the same if we could choose to have Hogwarts exist. Thank you for the giveaways and the post!

Also, I too would cry if Hogwarts were real.

  13. I love it when even though a new story is described in one sentence, you immediately want to pick it up because it sounds so good? Ahhhhh. It makes me so happy. This is a good example of that, in my opinion. This book sounds so good! Avalon, of course, sounds good as well. I'm way too excited for too many books at this point I feel like I might explode!! D:
