Welcome to Day 14 of New Year, New Books! I'm super excited to have an AWESOME author lady on my blog today...

2) Page Morgan
-author of The Lovely and the Lost (May 13th, 2014)

Wooohooo.

Anyways, Page's first book, The Beautiful and the Cursed is one of THE BEST books of 2013. Seriously. It was full of pulse racing adventure, and heart stopping romance.

Title: The Lovely and the Lost (The Dispossessed #2)
Author: Page Morgan
Shelves: Young Adult, Fantasy, Paranormal, Romance
Publication Date: May 13th, 2014
Publisher: Delacorte Press

Summary from Goodreads:  Ingrid and Gabby survived the Underneath. They saved their brother, Grayson, from a future of dark servitude and exposed a plot to undermine the Alliance. But danger still lurks in the streets of Paris, and the Dispossessed, perched on the city's bridges and rooftops, might not be able to save their human wards this time...

Page Morgan's Writing Space

There is something irresistible about seeing where different writers work. It’s part of the bigger (and even more irresistible) question of how a writer works, and for me, seeing another writer’s space and the things they surround themselves with for inspiration never gets old.
For years I wrote at my dining room table while sitting in a wooden chair. I dreamed of having my own office but knew it wouldn’t happen until we moved to a bigger home. When we checked out a house that came with a small and shabby one-room cabin, I was sold. Thankfully, my husband was as well!

The previous owners had let their goose and ducks live in the cabin, so it was a total wreck on the inside. Not to mention the guy left all his stuff behind as well!

It took a year or so but my husband put down new floors, installed radiant heat, and even painted the walls.

The previous owner might have left the floors covered in goose poop (he also left his shoes and socks. Thanks, guy!) but he also left a bookshelf! I have shelves dedicated to YA books, middle grade books, classics, non-fiction, and romance. Of course, my two-year-old is determined to disorganize them.

He also left this strange little painting pinned to the door. It looks like a pear, just hanging out. What do you think? It’s just weird enough for me to keep…

You won’t find many zombie books on my shelves, however. There’s always an exception, like The Forest of Hands and Teeth and World War Z, but for the most part, zombies scare the hell out of me! My friend knows this and had this sign made, which I hung on the wall:
The cabin, though small, still feels like a luxury sometimes. It’s a work-in-progress but I love that I can do anything I want with it. The views of the woods and the field, and the silence that greets me whenever I sit down to write right here:

is inspiring. Stories can be written anywhere, but it’s nice to have a place where I can sit and dream and just be me.

  1. I read The Beautiful and the Cursed and I loved it oh so much. I think, needless to say, I've been more than excited to see this book come out. As soon as I saw the title on bloglovin', I- my heart jumped. I've had this on my TBR list for a while and soon it'll be in my hands. Come here, pretty book, pleeeeease... ;v; *totally not weird*

And Page... you are living my dream, living in a forest. Even though I fear forest fires and such (and raccoon... don't ask *shivers*), the thought of living in a forest just always sounded nice. I'll be too scared to ever act on it though... plus, I'm sure my bf would prefer to live closer to the city, haha. I don't blame him though. :P Still, it's a nice catch. I like it.
