Summary from Goodreads: Soon, Elusion® will change the world and life as we know it.

A new technology called Elusion is sweeping the country. An app, visor and wristband will virtually transport you to an exotic destination where adventure can be pursued without the complications—or consequences—of real life.

Regan is an Elusion insider. Or at least she used to be. Her father invented the program, and her best friend, Patrick, heir to the tech giant Orexis, is about to release it nationwide. But ever since her father’s unexpected death, Regan can’t bear to Escape, especially since waking up from the dream means crashing back to her grim reality.

Still, when there are rumors of trouble in Elusion—accusations that it’s addictive and dangerous— Regan is determined to defend it. But the critics of Elusion come from surprising sources, including Josh, the handsome skeptic with his own personal stakes. As Regan investigates the claims, she discovers a disturbing web of secrets. She will soon have to choose between love and loyalty…a decision that will affect the lives of millions.

Suspense, thrills, and romance fuel this near-future story about the seductive nature of a perfect virtual world, and how far one girl will go to uncover the truth behind the illusions.

What is your dream cast for ELUSION?

Well, funny you should ask!

Ever since ELUSION was optioned for a movie by SilverReel and FlynnPictureCo. (http://hollywoodcrush.mtv.com/2013/07/31/elusion-claudia-gabel-cheryl-klam-optioned/) we’ve spent quite a bit (in other words, too much) time dreaming about what it might be like to see ELUSION on the big screen.  But, truth be told, we had it cast a long time ago. When we began writing together, we found that imagining actors in the lead roles helped us envision the character. The list is fluid, but here’s who we currently see as the stars…

The heroine, Regan: She’s smart, resilient and capable, but still recovering from the death of her dad.  In the beginning of the book she’s trying to keep herself together and take care of her mom, but by the end, she’s struggling to save a whole lot more.

And so we cast…

Elizabeth Olsen. (Martha Marcy May Marline; Silent House)

Alluring yet mysterious, Elizabeth’s choice of roles reflect her wide range. She may appear to be the girl-next-door, but it’s obvious she’s a complex character. What secrets is she hiding behind those baby blues?

The hero, Josh: A former military school student, he’s incredibly intelligent and doesn’t hesitate to kick-ass as necessary, yet he’s surprisingly tender and gentle. He may not be whip-your-head around gorgeous, but you can’t stop looking at him.

And so, we cast….

Dave Franco.  (Warm Bodies; 21 Jumpstreet)

Okay, forget everything we said about not whip-your-head around gorgeous. In our defense, Dave’s also passionate and clever, and we’ve seen him play military AND sensitive. He’s the kind of guy you’d trust with your life. Right?

Patrick, Regan’s best friend: He’s a certified genius and heir to a fortune—who, at the age of nineteen, is running one of the biggest companies in the world. He may have been a nerd as a kid, but he’s now one of the most handsome, eligible bachelors in the country.

And so we cast…

Austin Butler.  (The Carrie Diaries; Life Unexpected)

There’s a sweet playfulness to Austin, yet he looks as if he’s capable of running a Fortune 500 company. Even though he’s obviously the kind of guy who can get any girl he wants, he also seems as if he’d be a loyal friend.

Zoe, Regan’s friend: Shrewd, kind, and devastatingly beautiful, she’s not easily intimidated. She’s a girl who knows what--and who--she wants.

And so we cast:

Kat Graham. (The Vampire Diaries; Honey 2)

It’s easy to envision Kat as a Queen Bee with a heart. Multi-talented, elegant, yet incredibly quick-witted, she’s the kind of girl you’d want in your corner.
